11/02/1519 | Spanish Conquistadors | Many Spanish explorers were conquistadors. A conquistador was a Spanish explorer who conquered land. Such conquistadors were Cortes, who conquered the Aztec Empire, and Pizzaro, who conquered the Inca Empire. By conquering these empires, they made Spain very powerful by gaining more land. |
