Columbus_tiny 10/14/1492 Columbus Discovers America When Columbus reached the America's, he created what we now call the Columbian Exchange. The Columbian Exchange is a transfer of people, plants, disease, and other goods from Europe to the New World.
Missionary_tiny 11/02/1497 Spanish Missionaries Missionaries were sent by Spain in order to convert the religion of others. The others, in this case, ended up being the Native Americans. The missionaries would attempt to bring the faith of Christianity into the New World
Conquistador_tiny 11/02/1519 Spanish Conquistadors Many Spanish explorers were conquistadors. A conquistador was a Spanish explorer who conquered land. Such conquistadors were Cortes, who conquered the Aztec Empire, and Pizzaro, who conquered the Inca Empire. By conquering these empires, they made Spain very powerful by gaining more land.
