16th Jun, 1993	I was brought into this world	in South Korea.
11th Dec, 1994	I found my first hobby	I played the piano for the first time. My mom had a feeling that this was my calling.
24th Feb, 1995	The day I was adopted.	I was officially adopted into the Shumate family on this date.
23rd Apr, 1997	I moved on to a completely different hobby.	I continued to play the piano. However, I had another hobby in mind which was gymnastics. I was very uncoordinated so my mother took me to Star Bound. I actually enjoyed it and stuck with it for 7 years.
4th Apr, 2002	The start of my hockey obsession	I was in 3rd grade when I fell in love with hockey. I followed my father's and brother's footsteps and played ice hockey. It turned out to be a failure. I was too little compared to those big boys.
28th Aug, 2006	Another hobby..	It was right before I went into 8th grade that I decided to give up piano and move on. I thought that playing an instrument made me look like a "geek". My new hobby ended up being cheerleading. I cheerleaded at Star Bound for 2 years.
18th May, 2008	back to my obsession with hockey	It was the end of my freshman year when the field hockey coach approached me. I was playing floor hockey in gym and she saw that I had potential. I had never played field hockey in my entire life, but my love for it developed quickly.
22nd Jun, 2011	Graduation	Graduate from Cumberland Regional High School.
27th Aug, 2011	College	Start my freshman year of college.
5th May, 2015	Finish College	Graduate from York College of Pennsylvania with a masters degree in computer information systems. Find a job at the FAA.
